People seem to be always asking the questions "Where is Kratom

Legal" and "What states have banned Kratom" and it's something we all need to be educated on.

So, I decided to put together a cool little interactive map of the United States that shows in which states Kratom is legal and in which states Kratom is illegal in.

  • Green States: Kratom is Legal!
  • Red States: Kratom is Illegal. : (

You can click or any state on the map and it will jump you to that particular state's section on the page with more information.

  • Alaska - Great news! Kratom is Legal in all of Alaska.
  • Arizona - Kratom is Legal in Arizona!
  • Arkansas - Kratom is Illegal/banned in all of Arkansas. The law was passed in February of 2016 which classifies Kratom as a Schedule 1 controlled substance.
  • Colorado - Kratom is Legal in Colorado EXCEPT for Denver. Kratom is banned in Denver, Colorado.
  • Delaware - Kratom is Legal in Delaware!
  • Florida - Kratom is Legal in Florida EXCEPT for Sarasota County.
  • Georgia - Kratom is Legal in Georgia!
  • Hawaii - Kratom is Legal in Hawaii!
  • Idaho - Kratom is Legal in Idaho!
  • Illinois - Kratom is Legal in Illinois EXCEPT for the city of Jerseyville.
  • Indiana - Kratom is NOT legal in Indiana. There is a bill named "SB0305" that bans Kratom from the state of Indiana. You can read about the bill here.
  • Iowa - Kratom is Legal in Iowa!
  • Kansas - Kratom is Legal in Kansas!
  • Kentucky - Kratom is Legal in Kentucky!
  • Maine - Kratom is Legal in Maine!
  • Maryland - Kratom is Legal in Maryland!
  • Michigan - Kratom is Legal in Michigan!
  • Missouri - Kratom is Legal in Missouri!
  • Montana - Kratom is Legal in Montana!
  • Nebraska - Kratom is Legal in Nebraska!
  • Nevada - Kratom is Legal in Nevada!
  • New York - Kratom is Legal in New York!
  • Ohio - Kratom is Legal in Ohio!
  • Oklahoma - Kratom is Legal in Oklahoma!
  • Oregon - Kratom is Legal in Oregon!
  • Rhode Island - Kratom is NOT legal in Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Department of Health's "Designation of Controlled Substance" show's that Kratom is banned in Rhode Island. You can view photo copies of it here.
  • Texas - Kratom is Legal in Texas!
  • Utah - Kratom is Legal in Utah!
  • Vermont -Kratom has been made illegal in Vermont because it contains an alkaloid called 7HM (7-Hydroxymitragynine).
  • Virginia - Kratom is Legal in Virginia!
  • Washington D.C. - Kratom is apparently Legal in the United States Capital! I had to do some research on this one because it had been banned in 2016 but ban is now removed! Go Capital! Now if only the other states where Kratom is banned would take note, that would be great.
  • Wisconsin - Kratom is NOT legal in Wisconsin. There's a bill called SB325 that is currently in place effectively banning Kratom.
  • Wyoming - Kratom is Legal in Wyoming!
